This course enables law enforcement officers to earn their Practitioner Certification in applying the Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) to suspected impaired drivers. This course has been approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).  All officers attending this course is required to be a licensed or certifiedTexas peace officer with a current commission. Topics will include: Recognition and interpretation of DWI evidence; Administration and interpretation of the SFST, including HGN, walk & turn, and one leg stand; Legal issues; and DWI evidence description for courtroom testimony.
