vote for something really fun.
 Tour three fabulously designed
units at One Park
Place and decide for yourself which of Houston’s top interior
designers have outdone themselves as part of Redesigning Downtown – A
Style Competition.
The designers, Renea Abbott, Michael
Stribling and Chandos Dodson, all were asked to put their creative stamp
on three one-bedroom units in the city’s 37-story, luxury high-rise facing
Discovery Green. Now through Sunday, May 2, the public is
invited to tour the spaces and vote for their personal favorite. The
tours, which are $10 per person, run every Wednesday through Friday from
noon until 2 p.m. and weekends from 1 to 5 p.m.
Hurry over to make
your preference known. Who knows? You might even pick up some great ideas
from three of Houston’s most creative minds.

Lavish production
Houston Ballet presents one of the great classical works of the 19th century. Set in the royal India of the past, La Bayadère is a story of eternal love, mystery, fate, vengeance and justice. The show runs at the Wortham Theater Center from Thursday, February 25 through Sunday, March 7.

Sing us a song
Michael Cavanaugh, who played Billy Joel in the hit Broadway musical Movin’ Out, comes to Jones Hall this weekend for a program of the Piano Man’s hits, along with music by Jerry Lee Lewis, Elton John and The Who. Catch it all on Friday, February 26; Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28.

Don’t miss authors John Banville and Abraham Verghese on Monday, March 1 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The men, who are appearing courtesy of Inprint Houston, will read from their latest works before taking part in an on-stage interview with Houston novelist Robert Cremins.

Dance moves
Dance Houston presents a high-energy showcase of the latest dance moves and styles at the Wortham Theater Center on Saturday, February 27. More than 150 local dancers will take the stage for FUSE, a hip hop dance festival. So You Think You Can Dance audience favorite Phillip Chbeeb headlines the event.
