ABOUT GETTING AROUND WHAT TO DO LIVING HERE DOING BUSINESS WORKING HERE
Tune In

Set your DVR or plan to be at home this Sunday, June 21 when DTTV makes its premiere at 10:35 p.m. on Channel 13. With features on the Houston Grand Opera, Buffalo Bayou, the Houston Astros and Miller Outdoor Theatre, the 30-minute show spotlights the very best of our city.

Host Rebecca Spera also takes you behind the scenes to one of downtown’s favorite pubs, the Flying Saucer, and viewers will learn how they can shop ‘til they drop at old favorites like Macy’s and trendy new boutiques like BCBGMAXAZRIA and the Tipping Point.

Once you’ve gotten some ideas for your summer staycation, pencil in some time on your calendar to enjoy downtown.

Start by booking a night (or two) in one of the city’s unique, boutique hotels like Hotel Icon, the Lancaster Hotel, the Alden-Houston or the Magnolia Hotel. Hop the METRORail to Miller Outdoor Theatre for some free entertainment and cool off in the evening with a peaceful ride down Buffalo Bayou. Use the latest issue of Downtown magazine to help you dine in style and pick up some tickets for a game at Minute Maid Park. You’ll see that you don’t have to go away to get away.
