ABOUT GETTING AROUND WHAT TO DO LIVING HERE DOING BUSINESS WORKING HERE
There’s absolutely no reason to complain about an empty calendar now that the Downtown District’s Fall Events Guide is hitting the streets. The colorful, easy-to-navigate brochure may come in your mailbox or you can pick it up at a number of downtown locations, such as Discovery Green, the Houston Visitors Center at City Hall and The Shops at Houston Center.

Of course you can also always find it with your weekly eBlast or on our

Theater District, we’ve got it covered.

As for festivals and special events, the guide is a must-have. The guide covers everything from the

Break away from the mundane this fall. Hop the METRORail and head over to Miller Outdoor Theatre in Herman Park to catch Houston Grand Opera’s Strega Nona. This Opera to Go! production is a 45-minute-long, family-friendly tale of respect. Although the story is geared to kids, it’s a fully-staged, high-energy production. The 11 a.m. show starts its run on Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 3. What better way to get yourself thinking outside of the box?
